Over the course of the summer of 1765, colonists grew increasingly agitated with the idea of the Stamp Act. On August 14, tensions finally reached a boiling point. The Stamp Act began to unify the colonies and representatives from every colony met at a meeting called The Stamp Act Congress. During the meeting, representatives created a letter to send to King George and Parliament to explain that they had no right to tax the colonies.
